Course Description: 

The HAZOP training provides participants with a thorough understanding of the HAZOP methodology, used to identify process system hazards and operability issues. Through theoretical and practical sessions, participants learn effective HAZOP study conduct, risk analysis, and mitigation strategies. Emphasizing safety and efficiency.

  • Defining HAZOP and HAZOP Operations 
  • Describe the importance of HAZOP and its purpose in different tools and large pieces of equipment 
  • Determine terminologies which will facilitate  the HAZOP Process 
  • Indicate the steps of the HAZOP Process 
  • Understand Guideline words and their importance in the 
  • Indicate different methods of Risk Analysis and Assessment 
  • Indicate Control Measures based on the Hierarchy of Controls 
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of staff in HAZOP Management 
  • Understand the importance of reviews of HAZOP Plan in correlation to the Health and Safety Management System 

Certificate: 

Upon successful completion of the course, learners receive Alam AlSahara Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) course completion certificate, valid for two years.

Assessment Requirement 

Participants are required to achieve 100% attendance. Assessment for this course consists of a written post‑test focusing on HAZOP principles and application, with a minimum passing score of 75%. Participants who reach a score of at least 75% will receive a certificate of completion.
