Course Objective: 

The course indicates the importance of Lockout/Tag out by teaching what it is, why it is important, and how it can be adequately implemented. The course will provide a student with the extensive knowledge to preform proper lockout tagout, including the six steps for LOTO, develop a Hazardous Energy Control Program (HECP), and identify proper Energy Isolating Device (EIDs) and LOTO devices. The student will be able to understand when group LOTO is necessary and understand the requirement for contractors, communication, and training.

  • The steps to the HECP and the different purposes. 
  • Differences between employee statuses, such as authorized employees and effected employees.  
  • Differentiating between types of EIDs 
  • Different Lockout/Tagout devices. 
  • The advantages of Lockout/Tagout devices. 
  • The limitations of Lockout/Tagout devices. 
  • How to preform group Lockout/Tagout. 

Certificate 

Upon successful completion of the course, learners receive Alam AlSahara Lock Out Tag Out course completion certificate, valid for two years.

Assessment Requirement 

Participants are required to achieve 100% attendance. Assessment for this course consists of a written post‑test with a minimum passing score of 75%. Participants who achieve a score of 75% or higher will be considered competent and will receive a certificate.
